The Rentals: Songs About Time
February 25th, 2009

I posted a mysterious Rentals video a few weeks ago but didn’t actually write anything about it, so I thought I’d post again and actually say something this time!  I’m a huge Rentals fan and they’re working on a new media project thing called “Songs About Time” where they post a photo a day, a video every week, and they’ll be releasing a few sets of new songs as well.  The videos are really cool because sometimes they give a behind-the-scenes look at the band recording the new songs (with catchy tunes over top) and somtimes they’re just freaky deaky artsy videos that are fun to watch.  The latest video looks and sounds like this:

Told you it was catchy.

Liz & Matt
February 23rd, 2009

Here are some photos from Liz and Matt’s engagement shoot!  They (and their dog, Izzie) were brave enough to wander around outside despite the snow, although it was actually a pretty mild day for February!

What’s an engagement shoot without a random, dirty alley?

And we also made a sweet pit stop at The Toucan, a local pub where Matt and Liz spent some time hanging out while in town.

Marsha & Marc
February 7th, 2009

I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot very many winter weddings in the last few years, so I was really excited for Marsha & Marc’s January wedding at The Paramount in Woodbridge.  Besides being a really cool couple, they were brave enough to run outside in the freezing cold for some outdoor portraits (which I think were totally worth it)!  And Marc’s brother also mentioned in his speech that they watched the entire series of Lost on DVD over the course of a few weeks.  No wonder we got along so well!  Here’s a slideshow with highlights from their day:
